Vision therapy is one of the most exciting areas of help for children with learning disabilities or dyslexia, but the cost involved can be prohibitive.

Vision therapy is often hard to find, even in countries like the UK, USA or Australia. If you live outside of those countries, finding vision therapy at all is almost impossible, even if you can find a Behavioral Optometrist who privies vision therapy UK, US or Australian style, so vision therapy cost would be unattainable.

While vision testing is easily available in most western countries, vision therapy UK, US or Australian standard is very much harder to come by. This is because true vision therapy is far more than a simple convergence exercise, which involves pushing a pen closer to your nose and trying to keep it single. Vision therapy reaches far into the visual perception and processing of children with learning disabilities, giving them the essential visual skills they need to help them cope with their reading, writing and spelling work. Even in western countries, the cost of vision therapy can run to thousands of dollars, multiple visits to the Optometrist and expensive equipment.

Learning disabilities worldwide are an increasing phenomenon, with up to one in four children in a classroom showing some sort of learning disability. Parents continually search for answers, taking their child to tutors, special education, doctors, psychologists and anyone they can find who may be able to help them. The cost of this quest is often huge, in the same way that vision therapy cost can also be enormous (if you can find vision therapy at all!). Across the globe, learning disabilities are a mystery to many parents, and as the number of learning disabilities worldwide increases, the number of desperate parents seeking real help also grows.

Vision therapy has proven to be an effective tool for treating learning disabilities worldwide, because it provides training of the visual skills essential in reading, writing and spelling. Vision therapy in the UK, US, Australia, Canad, South Africa and New Zealand is available, but the number of practitioners providing such therapy is very few, and usually concentrated in the capital cities. Worldwide, the number of practitioners who can provide vision therapy to a standard that will significantly impact children with learning disabilities are very few.

The internet provides an opportunity to help learning disabilities worldwide, because through the power of the internet concerned parents potentially could have access to vision therapy in the UK, USA, Australia, South .Africa, India, Asia, Africa or anywhere in the world, all at a fraction of the cost vision therapy usually demands. The problem is that the vast majority of Behavioral Optometrists guard their secrets closely, and will not release even simple vision therapy exercises worldwide on the internet for fear of revealing their techniques to other practitioners.

I am different. Having worked for 25 years with vision therapy, and having designed many of the therapies myself, I believe it is time to offer vision therapy at a reduced cost to children with learning disabilities worldwide. Although I have an established practice in my home country, I recognize that worldwide children with learning disabilities need proper, effective, home based vision therapy, not just UK, US and Australia.

So, for the first time I am now releasing the same vision therapy which has yielded superb results for my patients at home on the internet, so that children with learning disabilities worldwide can get the same treatment as those in the west. It is true vision therapy UK, US and Australia style, and I have adapted it so that any child with learning disabilities, whether in a western country or worldwide, can do these exercises and therapies in their own home and see great results. Vision therapy cost will not be thousands, or even hundreds of dollars, but the cost of this home based therapy will start at less than $100.

Vision therapy is now cost effective, and readily available to treat children with learning disabilities worldwide.
