Learning Disabilities Resources- Vision And Pediatric Learning Difficulties Definitions

Providing children with learning disabilities resources that actually make a difference in their development has been a passion of mine for over 20 years. Despite the fact that diagnosing learning disabilities is a very broad subject, not often agreed upon among professionals, the learning difficulties definition is far easier to tie down: The definition is simply having difficulties learning to read, write and spell!

Learning disability resources are available from many sources, both locally and worldwide via the internet. For vision based problems, learning disability resources include services offered by vision pediatric specialists such as Behavioral Optometrists, ophthalmologists and a vision therapists, while other professionals such as pediatric occupational therapists, pediatric speech therapist and educational experts also contribute to the vast array of learning disabilities resources.

However, the problem for many parents is not diagnosing learning disabilities, but finding someone in their area of the world who can offer learning disability resources that are simple, easy to apply and see valid and tangible results. While many experts can easily be diagnosing learning disabilities all day, very few offer resources to treat the learning disability that gives positive and valid results.

As a Behavioral Optometrist, I believe that vision therapy can become a one of the learning disabilities resources that can offer real hope to the concerned parents of children with learning disabilities or dyslexia.

Vision pediatric professionals have been slow to embrace optometric vision therapy as valid learning disabilities resources, mainly because there is such a variety of therapy on offer, and frankly, not all of it is effective. In a world where the learning difficulties definition can mean a label for life for the struggling child, I believe we need to look at every means possible and all learning disabilities resources available to obtain the best support for our children.

Yet professionals constantly overlook what has to be one of the easiest therapies available to parents, with a proven track record and a scientific base: vision pediatric therapy. Within such broad field lies learning disability resources which can and most often do make an incredible difference to a child struggling with learning disabilities. It involves no drugs, no psychotherapy and is far more fun than remedial reading. Yet it is one of the most often overlooked of the learning disability resources, despite being and almost immediately effective for children with learning disabilities.

The cost involved in learning disabilities resources can be prohibitive, with most practitioners thinking that the concerned parents will happily pay whatever it takes to help their child.

My vision therapy program is different. This is part of a new form of learning disabilities resources: one that can be done at home, for a very small cost, and anywhere in the world. Finally there is a learning disability resource which makes sense, costs very little and is guaranteed to help almost every child with learning disabilities, so please, parents, do not stop at diagnosing learning disabilities, go on to treat the condition in a practical, low cost, highly effective way. After all, your child is worth the effort.
